Hi, I’m Didi. My whole life got turned upside down when I accidentally found the Love of my Life on the streaming platform Twitch. Moving from The Netherlands to the US has been, and continues to be, a huge adventure. By popular demand, I’m writing about this journey Home.
You see, our situation has been far from easy. Luckily we are surrounded by a wonderful online community of friends all over the world, and they have helped us raise thousands of dollars through a GoFundMe campaign. Despite still needing money, I had to close the fundraiser, as updating location and other essential information wasn’t possible. During the campaign I’ve written many updates, and I’d hate to lose those. That’s where the idea to start a blog came from.
Next to the archived updates, the blog on this website will contain new stories about our life together, differences between The Netherlands and the US, and other things I feel like sharing.
This website is a work in progress, and will for the time being mostly look like its predecessor (my original blog). Behind the scenes we’re working on a complete overhaul, so stay tuned!
